Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden Powell adalah seorang tentara Inggris dan pendiri the Boy Scouts.Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden Powell lahir di London, Inggris pada tanggal 22 Februari 1857. Ayahnya adalah seorang guru besar Geometri di Universitas Oxford, Inggris, yaitu Prof. Domine Baden Powell. Sedangkan ibunya adalah Miss Henrietta Grace Smyth, seorang putri dari admiral Kerajaan Britania Raya yang terkenal yaitu William T. Smyth.
